ARLINGTON, VA — ByteCubed, a technology firm that specializes in reimagining government programs, officially appointed Alexander Martinez as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Martinez joined ByteCubed in February and has been working closely with Founder and former CEO, Ahmad Ishaq, to ensure a seamless transition as the company enters its next phase of growth. Ishaq is now acting as the company’s Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) as Martinez takes on the role of CEO.
Martinez joined ByteCubed after 14 years of delivering information solutions across Lockheed Martin, most recently leading the growth of the civilian cyber security portfolio. As the new CEO of ByteCubed, Martinez will lead the company in introducing their domain-driven technology approach into more government agencies — a nationwide priority that will help address our country’s most pressing challenges.
“In nearly every government office, the public demand for services and the digital expectations of the workforce outpace available resources. By integrating focused, talented teams with domain experts, ByteCubed has successfully built tools and platforms in areas ranging from national security, cyber security, big data analytics and management support. I’m excited to join the team and continue our momentum as we identify innovations that transform the way government works,” said Martinez.
“ByteCubed is responding to the global mandate to make government more effective. To achieve this, we need the brightest minds in the industry,” said Ahmad Ishaq, Founder and CINO. “Alex brings valuable expertise and an innovative vision that is reflective of the core of the company. I’m confident in his ability to guide the company towards a higher growth potential and lead our movement of disrupting the government contracting space.”
“In only five years as a start-up, ByteCubed has secured a spot as one of the industry leaders in reinventing the contracting space,” said Martinez. Last month, ByteCubed was recognized as no. 55 on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the nation. The company was also recognized as a Top Workplace by the Washington Post, an award based on employee satisfaction surveys, and moved into its new headquarters in Arlington, VA earlier this year. The new office was designed to foster collaboration between the ByteCubed team, our clients and the innovation community.
